The Department of Dermatology and Venereology of The First Hospital of Jilin University was established in 1984. It is the key laboratory of dermatology and venereology of the Jilin Provincial Department of Health and the chairman unit of the Jilin Provincial Laser Medicine Branch. After 37 years’ development, the Department has grown into a Dermatological and Venereal Disease Diagnosis, Research and Teaching Center in Jilin Province.

At present, the annual outpatient number of dermatology exceeds 180,000, an average of 520 per day. The department is:

The department has established a clinical research collaboration in dermatology network and Artificial Intelligence Skin Smart Medicine Alliance with the Dermatology Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, the Dermatology Department of The First Hospital of China Medical University, the Dermatology Department of the Peking University First Hospital, the Dermatology Department of the Huashan Hospital of Fudan University and the Dermatology Department of The Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University.
