The department currently has an independent ultrasound room, a bone mineral room, a nailfold video capillaroscopy room, a minimaive needle-knife scope treatment room, an immunoadsorption treatment room and ultrasound treatment. The immunology laboratory and epidemiology database has been started.

The Rheumatology and Immunology Clinical Medicine Research Institute has undertaken more than 40 clinical trials. The department maintains long-term research and study relationships with Stanford University, University of Western Ontario, University of Oregon, Medical College Hospital of Peking Union and Beijing Academy of Military Medical Sciences.
