Patients with severe and extra-severe craniocerebral injury have poor prognosis and prolonged coma. Coma awakening technology is an important direction to improve the quality of life of coma patients. The department actively develops brain function assessment techniques for comatose patients, and uses a variety of technical methods to improve patient awakening. Organ donation after brain death (DBD) is an important source of transplants organs. The department has developed brain-death determination techniques, and so far, more than 700 cases of brain-death determination have been completed.
