Discipline Dynamics

The department is now a key clinical specialty of the Ministry of Health of the People’s Republic of China, a key medical specialty of Changchun City, a key discipline of Jilin University, a doctoral and master’s degree authorization unit in anesthesiology, and a post-doctoral mobile station. It has also been rated as National Medicine Clinical Trial Base, National Resident Physician Training Demonstration Base, National Pediatric Anesthesia Training Base, Chinese Medical Association Young Anesthesiologist Training Base, Core Member Unit of National Geriatric Anesthesia Alliance, Chairman Unit of Anesthesiology Branch of Jilin Medical Association, .Anesthesia Teaching and Research Section of Norman Bethune Health Science Center of Jilin University.

The Department of Anesthesiology has made remarkable achievements in scientific research. In recent years, it has undertaken and completed more than 200 scientific research projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, the Scientific Research Foundation for Returned Scholars, Ministry of Education of China, and the Jilin Provincial Department of Science and Technology. Among them, it has won 7 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a number of Jilin Province Natural Science Academic Achievement Awards and Jilin University Medical Achievement Awards. It has published more than 800 papers in authoritative journals at home and abroad, of which 146 are indexed by SCI. It has hosted more than 20 academic conferences; members of the department have participated in many international academic conferences and published their scientific research results at the conferences.

The department undertakes anesthesiology teaching for eight-year doctoral students, seven-year master students, five-year undergraduate students, international students, provincial resident doctors and medical trainees, and the trained students are all over the country.
