Comprehensive geriatric assessment is an emerging and very important assessment and detection method in contemporary geriatrics, which has been carried out in well-known geriatric fields and hospitals both at home and abroad. The comprehensive assessment of the elderly is mainly aimed at evaluating the health status and functional status of the elderly. The comprehensive geriatric assessment, which has been carried out by the department, can help the elderly fully understand their hemodynamic status, emotional state, cognitive function, risk of falls, nutritional status, risk of polypharmacy, body composition, sarcopenia and frailty risk, etc.
In recent years, the department has made full use of its disciplinary advantages to comprehensively carry out comprehensive evaluation of the elderly, which has completed more than 1,000 cases of evaluations and gradually formed disciplinary characteristics. At present, 5 projects related to geriatric assessment and 4 related SCI papers have been applied successfully .
