Corneal Diseases and Corneal Transplantation：

The corneal diseases and corneal transplantation of the department of ophthalmology of the hospital ranks first in Jilin Province and is in a leading position in China. Patients come from all over the country, including bacterial keratitis, fungal keratitis, viral keratitis, bullous keratopathy, corneal mass, corneal dystrophy, corneal degeneration, eroding corneal ulcer, keratoconus, ocular chemical injury caused by adhesions and leukoplakia caused by various reasons basically cover the main source of patients in the three northeastern provinces and Inner Mongolia.

The department has the only Eye Bank of Jilin Red Cross in the province, which is responsible for corneal donation and distribution throughout the province. It has completed more than 300 corneal transplants every year, and completed more than 1,000 operations on complex ocular surface diseases. It was the first unit in China to carry out corneal transplantation with myopia lens removed, and was invited to exchange experience at the China-Japan-Korea Ophthalmology Conference. Corneal diseases and corneal transplantation in our hospital enjoy a high reputation in China, and was awarded the “Member Unit of National Corneal Transplant Quality Control Alliance”.
