The Department of Pediatric Surgery of The First Hospital of Jilin University has a history of more than 30 years since its establishment in the 1980s, which is the Children’s Surgery Group of General Surgery Department of The First Hospital of Jilin University and the earliest diagnosis and treatment unit for children’s surgical diseases established in Jilin Province. With nearly 40 years of development, it has become a professional department which integrates diagnosis and treatment, teaching and scientific research in the field of pediatric surgery in Jilin Province. There are 50 beds in the Department of Pediatric Surgery, with annually more than 30,000 outpatient visits and 3,000 patients admitted to the hospital for medical treatment. Each year, more than 2,000 operations will be performed in the department.
