According to the characteristics of pediatric surgical diseases, there are currently 5 specialized groups in the Department of Pediatric Surgery, including neonatal surgery group, general surgery group, urology group, thoracic surgery group and tumor surgery group. It mainly treats children aged from 0 to 14 years. It is at the leading level in Jilin Province in the fields of minimally invasive treatment of children’s complex surgical diseases and surgical treatment of congenital malformations.

Surgical treatment of complex tumors in childhood (e.g. neuroblastoma, rhabdomyosarcoma, teratoma, etc.); Minimally invasive surgical treatment of congenital cystic dilatation of the common bile duct; Congenital biliary atresia Kasai surgery; Minimally invasive surgical treatment of Hirschsprung’s disease；Surgical correction of hypospadias, cryptorchidism, and gender dysplasia; Minimally invasive surgical treatment of thoracic surgery; Neonatal and pediatric acute abdomen etc.
