The annual anesthesia amount of transplantation surgery ranks top five in domestic centers.

The department takes the lead in putting forward the concept of strengthening the comprehensive management of patients perioperatively, realizing the enhanced recovery after surgery and reducing the collateral injury. The department promotes the application of depth of anesthesia and brain function monitoring, Ultrasound-guided arteriovenous cannulation, Ultrasound-guided nerve blocks, Fiberoptic Bronchoscope-guided double-lumen tube intubation, Laryngeal Mask Airway (LMA) Management in General Anesthesia and many other anesthesiology applications technology.

The department has recently developed anesthesia for awake craniotomy in neurological functional area tumor resection and intraoperative magnetic resonance imaging combined with nervous system navigation to guide the precise surgical treatment of glioma, laparoscopic hepatectomy with low central venous pressure technique and pediatric caudal anesthesia. The department also bears responsibility for the rescue treatment and resuscitation of critically ill patients, intensive monitoring and treatment, postoperative analgesia, and outpatient painless examination and treatment in the hospital.
