The department is the only completely independent andrology department established under the tertiary hospital in Jilin Province, which has a high-quality professional medical team. The main treatment range includes: erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, chronic prostatitis, benign prostatic hyperplasia, male infertility symptoms, delayed puberty, male menopause, male reproductive system infections and other related diseases.

The department has advanced and complete set of medical equipment, like the GE color ultrasound can be used for genitourinary ultrasound and penile blood flow detection, male function dynamic diagnostic instrument (NPT) to distinguish between psychological ED and organic ED, penis sensitivity detector to diagnose the primary and secondary premature ejaculation, prostate therapy device, male sexual function rehabilitation therapy device, etc.

At present, the department has carried out circumcision surgery, prepuce plastic surgery, cauterization surgery of condyloma acuminatum in penis and urethral orifice, hydrocele surgery, surgery of epididymal mass, cryptorchidism, testicular tumor and testicular torsion, excision surgery of benign penile mass, priapism surgery and penile curvature surgery.

Since 2015, the department has carried out andrology microsurgery. So far, it has completed more than 1,500 cases in total, including microsurgical varicocelectomy, testicular sperm extraction, epididymal vasoepididymostomy, microsurgical vasovasostomy, etc. More than 1,000 cases of outpatient circumcision with suture device are performed every year. In addition, the department began to carry out sexual psychological counseling in 2018, it has provided consultation for more than 200 patients.
