In October 2008, The First Hospital of Jilin University cooperated with the Li Ka Shing Foundation to create the only Hospice Unit in Jilin Province. It is mainly responsible for hospice care services for cancer patients, providing free door-to-door services such as analgesia treatment, psychological relief and social support for poor patients with advanced cancer pain within 150 kilometers of Changchun City and surrounding areas.

Since its establishment, the Hospice Unit has always adhered to the tenet of “people-oriented, whole-person service, and improving the quality of cancer patients’ lives”. Based on our own work, with care, professional knowledge and positive attitude, we provide on-site diagnosis and treatment services, nursing guidance, spiritual care, and assistance for difficulties and other medical, health, psychological and social services for patients with terminal cancer.
