（1）Individualized treatment of refractory kidney disease  

The department has accumulated rich experience in the standardized diagnosis and treatment of children with nephrotic syndrome, purpuric nephritis, glucocorticoids, immunosuppressive agents and the application of biological agents. It has improved the remission rate of refractory nephrotic syndrome (RNS refractory nephropathy syndrome), severe lupus nephritis, purpuric nephritis, etc. by applying tacrolimus, rituximab, mycophenolate mofetil, etc., which improved the life quality of children.

(2) Accurate diagnosis and treatment of hereditary kidney disease

The department applies genetic diagnosis technology to improve the diagnosis and treatment of Alport syndrome, dent disease, hereditary nephrotic syndrome and other difficult kidney diseases, further guide clinical treatment and determine prognosis.

(3) Early intervention in chronic kidney disease (CKD) and growth failure in children

Aiming at the peculiar complications and growth disorders of CKD children, the department regularly evaluates the growth and development of CKD children, and uses recombinant human growth hormone (rhGH) to intervene in the growth disorders of CKD children, and obtains satisfactory growth catch-up effect.

The department has set up enuresis specialist clinics to carry out CKD follow-up and management for the nocturnal enuresis, the frequent urination and the abnormal urination, etc.
