The Oncological Neurosurgery Department of The First Hospital of Jilin University is an important part of the Neurosurgery Center of The First Hospital of Jilin University. Since its establishment, it has made remarkable achievements in medical treatment, teaching and scientific research. Especially with the establishment of glioma diagnosis and treatment center, the electrophysiological treatment group and the introduction of the first domestic “one-pull-two-type” ultra-high field 3.0T intraoperative magnetic resonance system, it makes the Oncological Neurosurgery Department of The First Hospital of Jilin University unshakable in the leading position of the three northeastern provinces in Northeast China, and has a high reputation in the country.

There are 127 beds in the department, the annual number of patients exceeds 10,000, and the annual number of operations is more than 2,500. The department undertakes 177 scientific research projects, including 17 national-level projects and 71 provincial and ministerial-level projects. It published 451 articles as the first author, of which 194 were included in SCI and achieved 8 patents and 21 awards, including 14 provincial science and technology progress awards.
