The clinical application researches of the department in artificial joint replacement, avascular necrosis of the femoral head, bone and joint diseases, diagnosis and treatment of extremity bone and soft tissue tumors and pediatric orthopedics are at the domestic advanced level.
The department specializes in routine and complex total hip arthroplasty (THA) and revision surgery. The department used artificial hip arthroplasty for the treatment of developmental hip dysplasia, hip deformity, complex rheumatoid arthritis hip stiffness, ankylosing spondylitis, avascular necrosis of the femoral head, etc.. It has taken the lead in developing new technologies and new treatments such as hip MR imaging technology, hip preservation surgery, and surgical dislocation in the province.
The department specializes in artificial total knee arthroplasty, unicondylar arthroplasty (TKA UKA) for knee osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis, High Tibial Osteotomy (HTO) for knee varus deformity, and complex knee revision surgery; the department used artificial Shoulder joint and artificial elbow joint arthroplasty treatment for shoulder and elbow joint osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and comminuted fracture of shoulder and elbow joint.
The department has carried out standardized research in the diagnosis and treatment of bone and soft tissue tumors of the extremities and comprehensive treatment of malignant bone tumors with limb salvage surgery. Artificial joint arthroplasty is used to treat bone tumors around the pelvis and limbs. The department first carried out total humerus and total femur arthroplasty in the province.
The department has accumulated rich clinical experience in pediatric orthopedics and orthopaedics. It specializes in the surgical treatment of congenital hip dislocation in children, sequelae of cerebral palsy, prolapsed varus foot, and congenital tibial pseudarthrosis, which reached
the domestic leading level.
