The department has always adhered to the concept of “refined management of chronic diseases and precise understanding of difficult diseases”, and carried out standardized “closed-loop of in-hospital and out-hospital” management for patients. The department takes the lead in remote management of diabetic patients in China and currently manages more than 4,000 diabetic patients online. Our department actively promotes MDT diagnosis and treatment of endocrine tumors, which combines with the strength of high-quality medical teams and formulates optimal diagnosis and treatment plans for patients. In addition to that, the department practices accurate diagnosis and treatment of difficult endocrine and metabolic diseases. This includes the diagnosis and management of nearly 50 rare and difficult diseases of endocrine metabolisms, such as wolfram syndrome, porphyria, maturity onset diabetes of the young, hemochromatosis, and congenital adrenal hyperplasia, making the Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism’s diagnosis and treatment capabilities highly recognized throughout the country.
