Forward Trends of Development

The department led the establishment of the Jilin Province Neonatal Specialty Medical Alliance in May 2018, covering all over Jilin Province and some areas of Inner Mongolia and including 64 member units now. Relying on the medical alliance to establish a neonatal tiered diagnosis and treatment system, the department improved grass-roots service capabilities, optimized neonatal emergency medicine, provided emergency vehicles and professional medical staff through the 24-hour emergency call of the department, and realized the two-way referral of seamless connection between patient’s pre-hospital first aid and in-hospital rescue and transfering the patients in stable conditions back to subordinate medical institutions. Since its establishment, the medical alliance has been continuing to develop and grow and carrying out smoothly teleconsultations, academic exchanges, personnel training, in-depth support to grass-roots areas to establish neonatal wards, training of neonatal resuscitation techniques, and etc. Up to now, the neonatal tiered diagnosis and treatment system, radiating to some areas of Jilin Province, Inner Mongolia and Heilongjiang Province, has greatly ensured the timeliness and safety of neonatal treatment services, so as to improve the level of neonatal diagnosis and treatment in hospitals at all levels. In November 2020, the construction case of Jilin Province Neonatal Specialty Medical Alliance had the honor to won the silver award in the National Hospital Tournament of ‘the 6th Season of Search for the Best Medical Practice, the Action Plans to Further Improve Health Sevice’.
